Jeremy's Run Overlook

I set up my tripod at Jeremy's Run Overlook and waited. The sky never really lit up like I had hoped, but a friend from one of my favorite yoga studios happened to stop by the same overlook at that time. After the skies settled in, we hung out at my site at Mathews Arm and shared a bottle of wine over a campfire. Something memorable always happens on my camping trips. That's how I know I'm living right.

Thornton Hollow Overlook

Headed out from Mathews Arm onto Skyline Drive before sunrise with headlamp, bedhead, and coffee to go. I set up my tripod across the road against the rock wall and waited. I've seen skies lit with more fire than this one, but the memory of waiting at that wall, morning mess that I was, made this shoot worthwhile.
