Headed out from Mathews Arm onto Skyline Drive before sunrise with headlamp, bedhead, and coffee to go. I set up my tripod across the road against the rock wall and waited. I've seen skies lit with more fire than this one, but the memory of waiting at that wall, morning mess that I was, made this shoot worthwhile.
