I'm a teacher who loves photography and travel. My interest in photography began when I discovered that it was a way I could bring the beauty of the outside world to my mom, who fought a valiant battle against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's disease) for over thirty years. When my mom was finally freed from her confinement on August 31, 2014, I was inspired to travel across the country towing my teardrop trailer in search of new horizons. Every once in a while, Mom drops in on me to say hi. I never know when or where she's gonna show up.
When I am not working as an instructional technology coach for a Virginia public school system, I am either camping, playing in Lightroom, leading photography workshops, exploring national or local parks, or planning my next cross-country road trip. And I am so happy to share my love of photography, travel, and teaching with you.
